La Cabra

Early in the year fresh crop green coffee beans are coming into northern Europe from farms in Rwanda, Brazil, Burundi and Tanzania. Just like the food offering here at Lyle’s seasonality is important to us and we aim to select the brightest and most perfectly roasted coffee from the best small batch roasters around.

It was in November last year when our coffee bos man James AKA 'Beans' visited Esben Piper, Sonja Zweidick and barista Edward Anderson Brown at their well-regarded roastery ‘La Cabra’ in Aarhus, Denmark. "As well as being one of my favourite all round coffee experiences in 2016, the guys at La Cabra are enjoying what they’re brewing andare discovering some beautiful coffees."

As of next week we will be serving some of the fruits of their labour including a natural Brazilian Filter from ‘Pinherino’ and a Burundi grown at 1900 masl from the farm ‘Umurima’.

We are open for coffee every Monday to Friday from 8am and on Saturday from noon. We also offer decaf, take out and a great selection of teas.
